May Update

 Hello Friends!

April has truly been such a sweet month of ministry at UTA! The end of the year has approached and our students has their first finals starting April 30th! I am really in awe of the Lords goodness this past year. He is benevolent, kind and full of love and grace! It has been so encouraging to see how he has changed the lives of so many this school year and it only makes me more eager for what he will do next year at UTA and TCC!

With that there was a lot that happened as we are ending the 2024-2025 school year with our ministry... so let's recap!

First I want to take a moment to share about our staff! I have had the honor to serve UTA alongside these amazing people! They have invested years into the ministry here and I really love working with them! We are headed into a pretty big transition this next year as we are gaining 3 apprentices, but saying bye to two of our longest serving staff at UTA! Will you join me in praying for this next year as we navigate this transition and new team dynamic?

bottom: Emily, Sophie, me

This is Sarah who came over to plant UTA back in 2015! She has made monumental impacts on this campus and is leaving a legacy of loving God and people so well! She is headed to the Collin campus to continue working with FOCUS there!

This is Emily! She has been here at UTA since 2018 and is headed off to pursue a nursing career! I have no doubt that God has worked through her and will continue to do so as she transitions into a new path of ministry!

Our last core!

It has been such an amazing time getting to meet with these girls weekly! We have studied the bible and talked through thinking as a disciple in so many areas of our life! They each have grown so much and have helped me grow as well!

72 Hours of prayer!

For the past couple years multiple of the campus ministries have joined together to create an event called 72 hours of prayer! We had a tent set up for 72 hours that held different prayer stations students and staff could participate in! there are also time slots that fill the entire time, meaning prayers were happening the entire time! Praise God!

We end the 72 HOP with a united worship night! This felt very full circle as I attended it last year shortly after finding out I would be coming to UTA! God has done so much!

End of year party!

Every year we host an end of year party for our students and it is always such a sweet time to spend together before they go home for summer! This year we hosted it at a park where we ate food, worshipped and did a mini graduation ceremony for our seniors!

Gratitude:

With this month consisting of the celebration of the resurrection of Christ it left me with an intense feeling of gratitude. Jesus chose to live a life and give up his life so that we may have life to the full. This year I have had daily conversations about the amazing grace our God has extended to us. I have gratitude to him and to you who have allowed me to do so. Praise is rising, hearts are turning. Thank you for your support!

Prayer Request:

I have a few friends of mine who are praying for healing from sickness and comfort during the season they are in. Their hope is in the Lord and we believe prayer is powerful!

In Christ,
Madison
