April Update!

 Hello Friends! 

I am so excited to share about what happened during the month of March! God is continually faithful and this month I have constantly been reminded of his generosity! 

Some exciting news!

I will be staying on staff for another year! As you know I have been working at UTA while participating in our apprentice classes but this next year I will be at UTA and TCC (Tarrant County College), a local community college here in the Arlington/Fort Worth area! I am really excited about the work God will be doing this next year! I have been praying over this for several months and God has been so faithful in counseling me on what he is wanting from me! 

If you're reading this I want to take the time to thank you for partnering with me in sharing the goodness of God with these students! I would not be able to do it without you! I will be reaching out in the next month to talk more about this with each of you, but again thank you so much! 

'I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. '

Okay lets talk about March!

Outreach!

This is something I shared about the past few months but I wanted to highlight the student leaders who have gone above and beyond in participating in reaching students on our campus! My personal favorite activities we have done has been signs with questions like "Can we pray for you?". It strikes up the opportunity to converse with people and pray for their needs all the while encouraging our current students in boldness as they grow to share their faith! 




Gospel Worship Night

Lailah, who is on staff with Focus at UTD organized a night of gospel worship for the entire community to participate in! Getting to join together and engage in different types of worship is simply a glimpse of what the Kingdom of God looks like! I am so thankful that we got to do this! Absolutely beautiful! 





Spring Break!

During the month of March our students take a week off for spring break! This year I got to do a day trip with some of the girls from my small group to go visit one of our girls in College Station! It was a full day of sweet conversation, laughter and antiquing. We had a lot of fun! 




Visiting Denton!

I got the sweet privilege to go and visit Denton during their fellowship night! It was my first one since I graduated! It was very eventful as they has visitors from CCF, a ministry we partner with from Bellingham Washington! They planned a Texas themed night and it was a blast! This picture is a moment I will be holding onto for a long time as several of these girls (from my previous cores) are graduating! I was so thankful to see the growth God has done in each of their hearts. He has been so faithful!




Lastly I said a very bitter-sweet see you later to my dear friend Chris. Her and I were cofas (co-small group leaders) last year and she has been leading a core this year as well. After being a faithful student in our community she has officially left for the coast guard this week and I cant help but ask that you would join me in praying for her? Chris leaving has been reminding me how much I need to lean on God when it comes to our students going into their next phase of life, he is in control! She has so much love for the Lord and I am excited to see how he will continue to work in her life.

 Hello Friends! April has truly been such a sweet month of ministry at UTA! The end of the year has approached and our students has their first finals starting April 30th! I am really in awe of the Lords goodness this past year. He is benevolent, kind and full of love and grace! It has been so encouraging to see how he has changed the lives of so many this school year and it only makes me more eager for what he will do next year at UTA and TCC!  With that there was a lot that happened as we are ending the 2024-2025 school year with our ministry... so let's recap! August Ministry Update!

Hello friends!!  Welcome to my first blog post! August has flown by but God is moving. August is one of the busiest months for college ministry as freshman are arriving and there are so many events put on by the campus and Focus!  Let's dive into this past month! August 1st started off with a boom! I had my first day of apprentice classes (we have been reading through the Old Testament) and we had our licensing ceremony. This is a photo of me and the other apprentices.   The next week we left for staff retreat where we all gathered to rest, and discuss the year ahead. It was honestly emotional for me being there and knowing that the people around me have such a heart for Christ and these students.   After staff retreat I spent a week in classes and then it was time to head into welcome week! February Update!

Hello Friends! Let's talk about January! Wow!! What a month! I feel like normally January last forever, but this one flew by. I think this has been my favorite month of ministry so far and I think God is doing some really exciting things! Winter Retreat! Every year our entire ministry comes together for winter retreat! It is a time of sermons, fellowship and lots of fun! This was my third year attending and getting to see what all goes into it from a new perspective just adds a whole new level of appreciation for those who plan it! From across our campuses we had around 700 in attendance! Praise God !  The week after retreat all I could reflect on was the story about Jesus feeding the 5000. I really got to see how much he can do with our "small" efforts. I think to the worlds standards, my small group of 8 girls wouldn't been impressive, but to God? Its so exciting!
