September Ministry Update

Hello Friends!

I am so excited to share about the month of August! This month not only is one of or busiest months of ministry but also marks a year of working for Focus! Like this month, this year has flown by and wow did God do a lot! Well we have a lot of ground to cover for this month!

Before I can do anything I have to acknowledge you guys! This ministry would not be possible without God and his people. I am incredibly grateful to have to opportunity to do what I do and I cannot thank you enough for being a part of it. So thank you! I hope you see the fruit that will come of this year! 

Summer Staff retreat! 

We as a staff do a spiritual retreat together for a few days in the summer. We get together to rest, pour into each other and prepare for another year of ministry. Some of the senior staff will plan discussions, worship and talks for us. Here is our staff photo!




Freshman Move-In!

Every year our staff goes on campus to pass out waters and meet students on their move in day! This year we passed out around 1800 water bottles! It is an awesome way to serve the students and their families, while also getting to invite them to our ministry events! 


United Worship Night!

There are several Christian campus ministry’s at UTA and for the past few years we have come together to do a united worship night! It’s one of our first events we do, and it is also one that holds great meaning! We get together every year to unite as the body of Christ and lift praise to him! 


Outreaching to Students

Welcome week is one of the busiest weeks as a college ministry, but is one that creates much fruit. We meet a majority of our students during this week. From passing out iced coffee, waters and fans, to hosting a petting zoo, glow in the dark capture the flag and a bob ross painting night we really get to be a place where students can experience community their first week on campus. Our staff and student leaders have hundreds of conversations, send out invites and start bible study’s all in one week! It’s a lot but it’s so fun! Thursday Night Fellowship!

We also kicked off TNF (Thursday night fellowship)! We had over 220 students show up the first week and were blown away with the way the spirit moved that night. Let me just say you can’t out give God. It excited me to do I is try knowing he is with us every step of the way and working in every single moment. One of my favorite parts of TNF is getting to worship with our students and it has been so uplifting to see how excited they are to praise God! 
We also did a bowling after event and it was a blast! The church I go to in Arlington generously paid for our students and we were able to connect with so many of them! 





TCC and Prayer Request!

Things are also starting to kick off at the TCC northeast campus! I have gotten to spend the last week tabling, meeting students and hosting board games in the cafeteria! Ministry at a community college looks a lot different and I am asking for prayer that God would lead the way at this campus! I am excited to see what he will do, and hopeful to see what our small group will look like (It starts this week!) Will you please join me in prayer over that!

 Hello Friends! April has truly been such a sweet month of ministry at UTA! The end of the year has approached and our students has their first finals starting April 30th! I am really in awe of the Lords goodness this past year. He is benevolent, kind and full of love and grace! It has been so encouraging to see how he has changed the lives of so many this school year and it only makes me more eager for what he will do next year at UTA and TCC!  With that there was a lot that happened as we are ending the 2024-2025 school year with our ministry... so let's recap! February Update!

Hello Friends! Let's talk about January! Wow!! What a month! I feel like normally January last forever, but this one flew by. I think this has been my favorite month of ministry so far and I think God is doing some really exciting things! Winter Retreat! Every year our entire ministry comes together for winter retreat! It is a time of sermons, fellowship and lots of fun! This was my third year attending and getting to see what all goes into it from a new perspective just adds a whole new level of appreciation for those who plan it! From across our campuses we had around 700 in attendance! Praise God !  The week after retreat all I could reflect on was the story about Jesus feeding the 5000. I really got to see how much he can do with our "small" efforts. I think to the worlds standards, my small group of 8 girls wouldn't been impressive, but to God? Its so exciting! April Update!

 Hello Friends!  I am so excited to share about what happened during the month of March! God is continually faithful and this month I have constantly been reminded of his generosity!  Some exciting news! I will be staying on staff for another year! As you know I have been working at UTA while participating in our apprentice classes but this next year I will be at UTA and TCC (Tarrant County College), a local community college here in the Arlington/Fort Worth area! I am really excited about the work God will be doing this next year! I have been praying over this for several months and God has been so faithful in counseling me on what he is wanting from me!  If you're reading this I want to take the time to thank you for partnering with me in sharing the goodness of God with these students!
